Owner, Akram Kassatly, trained as a winemaker in Burgundy in the 1960’s but his dream of making his own wine in Lebanon was thwarted by 15 years of civil war. He had to wait till 2005 before joining the ranks of the new generation of post-war wineries. Today, Château Ka is a firmly established name in the Lebanese wine firmament.

Château Ka, Fleur de Ka, 2005  |  Value for money:
Tried this in London at a dinner party. Guests were impressed. Not my favorite Lebanese wine but the packaging is very slick and my friends made me feel proud to be Lebanese. I prefer my wines more fruity. This is a bit 'big' for my taste but it is clearly a wine of quality. People who enjoy Comte de M will love this. Will I try it again? Yes.. Rate: 85 [+]
